Christmas Blessings - My Savior

Greetings Brothers and Sisters in the Lord. I'm sure you're counting them now? I'd like to thank God for my Savior.

Zephaniah 3:16-18 (NLT)
"On that day the announcement to Jerusalem will be, cheer up, Zion! Don’t be afraid! For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs. I will gather you who mourn for the appointed festivals; you will be disgraced no more."

Luke 2:10-11 (NLT)
"but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!"

2 Timothy 1:9-10 (NLT)
"For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus. And now he has made all of this plain to us by the appearing of Christ Jesus, our Savior. He broke the power of death and illuminated the way to life and immortality through the Good News."

I've been a born again believer for about 18 years now. It hasn't been so long ago that I can't remember how life was prior to Jesus coming into my heart. Let's suffice it to say I was not a happy person. Oh sure, there were moments when I was happy. But I had no peace. I worried about everything. I struggled with alcohol and drug use. I was not a very nice person to be around; very self-center and self-serving. My marriage was not doing well, and, to tell you the truth, I wasn't too sure I cared. What a difference Christ has made in my life. He has given me so much more than I deserve. Are you struggling right now? Does it seem like everything in your life has gone wrong and you're not sure of your direction? Do you lack peace? It could be that you need Jesus to help you to turn your life around. You can do it today. Jesus is the gift that keeps on giving.

Have you accepted Jesus' gift of salvation? If you have, then your really need to praise God for sending Jesus to pay the price for your sins.

Blessings,

Bill
