It's An Ideal Life - Brethren

Greetings Brothers and Sisters in the Lord. I've often wondered why there's so much division in the church. The fact there are so many problems has caused me to say to myself (and many close friends), "It's a miracle that God uses us for anything." I'm sure all of you know what I mean when I say there are many times church members are some of the most unlovely people we know. It always saddens me when I hear about the abuse people have suffered as a result of things members have said (or not said) and done to them. I'm sure God didn't intend for church to be this way. He intended for us to be an extension of His love to the world. Can you imagine how wonderful it would be if we all got along?

Psalm 133:1,2 (NKJ)
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments,

2 Peter 1:5-8 (NKJ)
But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Think of the joy and knowledge that's available to us if we could get this right. This verse said it will abound. Imagine the joy we could experience when we come together to worship and serve our Lord. Do you think there would be an empty seat in your church if we could love people the way Christ loves us? The "world' would be knocking down the doors if they knew they would be unconditionally loved and have their needs met by the church.

Jesus is the answer. He can change our hearts so the Holy Spirit can change our lives. Trust Him today.
